- P0204 – Injector Circuit/Open – Cylinder 4 and P0304 – Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected. Performed a road test while monitoring live scan tool data and observed misfire counts increased on cylinder #4. Inspected the fuel injector #4 wiring harness and connector and detected no obvious faults. With the ignition on and the engine off, used a multi-meter to check for the presence of voltage and ground at the fuel injector #4 connector and found both were present. Using the multi-meter, checked for continuity of the fuel injector #4 and found continuity was not present, indicating the fuel injector #4 is faulty.
- removed air box cleaner and upper intake manifold assembly to access fuel injector rail . removed fuel rail to access cylinder #4 injector . removed cylinder #4 injector and replaced with new one .installed new o rings on all other 5 injectors . reinstalled upper intake manifold with new gaskets . after repairs test drove and misfire went away runs and drive good .
